KAITY ROBINSON

“IF THE ANSWER IS NO, YOU ARE ASKING THE WRONG PERSON.” - kRIS JENNER

Q+A with Kaity robinson:

What made you start The Brand5?

To be honest - someone told me that I wasn’t worth what I thought I was and I had no “real experience”. So I started my own company.

What is your favorite part about what you do?

Watching our clients get results without a doubt. Nothing is worth it if it doesn’t work, unless of you course you learn something.

What is your biggest professional pet peeve?

Ghosting and then blowing me up. I am BIG on communication, if you are unavailable or can’t make something work just tell me. If you ghost me or never respond then call me 10x it doesn’t go over well (by that I mean I still fully answer and do everything you need but in my head I am mad).

WILL JOHNSON

How long have you been working in the creative field?

I feel like I have always been into the arts and being creative as a kid and I took that into college where I majored in studio arts with a focus on photography. I continued in that field as an adult and worked for a couple photography studios over 15 years before I jumping into the branding world. As a semi-perfectionist I’ve always had an eye for detail and I think that bodes well for this type of work.

Who is your favorite artist?

I have always been a fan of street art. I would say Banksy has always been a favorite of mine. His work was one of my earliest memories of street art being used as a campaign of sorts - albeit political in most cases, but I loved how he created a brand for himself and it was recognized world wide. Taking something like street art and making it commercial, branded was always intriguing to me.

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

HOPE KLAUSMEYER

A woman marketing agency employee in Wichita with blonde wavy hair, wearing a black dress, sheer black stockings, and a black blazer draped over her shoulders, smiling and posing against a plain white background.

What started your social media management journey?

It's a wild ride, let me tell you. When Instagram was first launched, I was a 10-year-old explorer trying to crack the code of gaining followers, improving my own content and having large engagement. Fast forward 12 years, a local business needed a social media facelift, and they rolled the dice on me. Because of them, I then was empowered to start my social media freelance business and had attracted several other businesses to help!

Then guess what? A year later, Brand5 was on the hunt for a social media guru. Funny thing, I'd been eyeing them way before the job posting thinking to myself “Wow, I’d love to work for a business like that”. As fate has set it out to be, here I am, living the dream, making businesses sparkle online, and loving every minute of boosting their social presence.

If you could give a social media award, what would it be for, and who would win it?

The award I'd hand out to social media is called "the best tool in the toolkit." I'd give this award to all social media platforms because they've done something incredible – they've helped lots of businesses grow!
